Contest Dates:  february 1, 2025 - march 21st, 2025

We are often reminded how important our young voters are to our democratic process. Our young people continue to raise their voices for what is important to them with their votes. Supporting them and promoting the importance of voting is more important than ever. In this spirit, the League of Women Voters Lancaster County is pleased to announce our 2nd annual Youth Video Contest!

Lancaster and Lebanon County high school students are invited to create 60-90 second videos that demonstrate our theme, “The People in your Neighborhood….Vote Local”. We want you to use your creativity with a focus on the upcoming municipal election cycle.  Videos can highlight the importance of municipal elections, how these elected officials impact our community, educate viewers on local elected office, profile an elected official and much more!

Videos can be live action or animated and MUST be nonpartisan.

Entries are due by March 21, 2025. Videos will be evaluated on a scale of 1 to 10 for each of the following three criteria: 1) Clear and Compelling Message, 2) Memorable Content and Delivery, and 3) Originality.

First place will win $150
Second place will win $100
Third place will win $50 
Winners will be announced on April 13, 2025 at premier event at Zoetropolis.
